Australia’s unofficial national anthem; Waltzing Matilda tells the rather dark tale of a swagman making camp by a billabong, boiling a cup of tea, killing a farmers’ sheep, being confronted by the farmer and policeman, committing suicide in the billabong and culminates in him haunting said billabong for the rest of time. Pretty standard really.
