BOXING ROO WO'S T-SHIRT
The Kangaroo is a fearsome beast. Just imagine being pinned against the ropes by a Kangaroos’ forelegs, whilst its hind legs slash and disembowel you. Disembowelment by a national treasure such as the Roo, is there a punishment more horrific. Fitting then that this iconic image became the National symbol for the Royal Australian Air Force during World War II, where it was stencilled on to the nose of the Bombers. The thought of facing a Roo in a duel is a petrifying one – even for a ragamuffin from the streets like me – I imagine even Anthony ‘the man’ Mundine wouldn’t have the confidence to step in the ring with an adversary as ruthless as the Roo.
